Modern LIfe with Cars, Automobiles and SUVs

For years, a lot of folks have looked at the Subaru Forester as something of an oddity. They simply don’t know how to classify it. It’s got a two-box body, and for the most part looks like a compact SUV, except it rides much lower than other compacts like the Honda CR-V or the Toyota Rav4. Because of its relatively low ride height, it almost looks like a station wagon, and therein lies the problem.

See, even with its performance-biased engines, and tuned suspension for improved handling, the fact that it looked like a station wagon took all of the ”coolness” out of owning one, and as such, only Subaru fans knew how great a vehicle the Forester really was.

That has all changed now. The all-new Subaru Forester is bigger, meaner, and stronger than ever before. And now, it looks the part too.

The ride height has been increased, and the car has grown in almost all dimensions yet, Subaru has kept the driving dynamics intact. Credit goes to their engineers, and to the fact that the Forester inherits many parts including the suspension bits and the engines from the highly-capable Impreza.

In all, the new Forester raises the bar for crossovers everywhere.
